SOOTNOSE ✻ RIVERCLAN
nameSootnosereasoningHe was given the prefix soot for his solid grey pelt. As a warrior, he earned the suffix -nose for his impressive tracking and scenting abilities.age23 MoonsgenderTomallianceRiverClanrankwarriorphysique
short descriptionA solid grey, deaf tom with bright hazel eyes.
physical descriptionSootnose has the typical build of a bred-and-born RiverClanner- long and flexible, with wiry yet powerful muscles that make for a strong swimmer. His muscles can be seen under his short fur: visible, but not intimidating to most other warriors, nor the largest in the clan.
His pelt is a solid dark grey color, lightening around his paws and underbelly slightly. Sleek and shiny, Sootnose keeps his fur neat and well groomed. His face is slightly rounded, with tall and pointy (yet not useful) ears atop his head. A black nose and long white whiskers protrude from his face, the latter easily visible against his darker fur. His eyes are a bright hazel color, always wide as an owl's.
His pelt often carries the scent of other cats, rather than just his own. He's quite touchy when it comes to communicating- rubbing pelts or touching tails are very common with Sootnose.personality

the past
the history
The second born in a litter of three, Sootkit was average sized and the only one identical to their father, Stonepelt. Whiteheart was pleased with the litter of two toms and a she-cat- she had always had a hard time trying to conceive kits, and she hoped that this would be the first of at least two or three.
The kits grew quickly, all healthy, all energetic. It took a full moon for Whiteheart to notice something was different with Sootkit; when she finally did, she called the medicine cat over to be sure. Soon enough, the medicine cat confirmed the queen's suspicion- Sootkit was completely deaf, likely born that way (as there was no sign of infection). Still, this did not keep him from eagerly playing with his siblings or the other kits. Whiteheart was fine with this, though she kept a close eye on him.
As the trio neared the age of six moons, there were rumors that Sootkit might be sent straight to the elder's den. Neither Whiteheart nor Stonepelt would allow that, and came to the ceremony prepared to petition the idea. However, when the leader apprenticed the newly named Sootpaw to a warrior, they were pleasantly surprised.
Sootpaw's mentor was a rough she-cat named Brightstorm, but she was surprisingly kind to the young tom. He saw how other apprentices would flinch when she yowled their chores to them, or tried to hide in the den. It was his hard working nature that Brightstorm liked, and in training they accomplished more and more each day. Sootpaw made impressive progress over his six moons as an apprentice- the only trouble he had was with fighting from time to time. But he was an impressive tracker, and it was for this reason he was given the suffix -nose when he finally became a warrior.
Sootnose sat his vigil silently, as he always was. Though he's still a younger warrior, Sootnose has shown that he's both willing and capable of pulling his weight in the clan. He's proud to be a warrior, and even prouder to be part of RiverClan.about you
