Frostbite gave a growl and looked the queen right in the eye. ''If you don't eat these you wont get better you lazy bag of fur! I wouldn't be a medicine cat and trying to help you feel better if I didn't know what I was doing!'' Giving the queen a challenging stare the queen gave her one right back. ''You want to see your kits grow up and become apprentice I suggest you take these if not.. feel free to watch them grow up in starclan.'' With that the medicine cat padded out of the nursery and didn't give one look behind her to see if the queen ate what she had given her. Giving out a sigh and stepping into a winter wonderland she saw the camp was dead quiet. A breeze blew past her and with that she headed right into her den where it was warm. Giving a shake Frostbite looked over her stock pile and saw she was terribly low. She legit just wanted to cry right now. She had nothing. It wasn't even worth asking another medicine cat. They needed their herbs to heal their clans why would they give any away? Frostbite sure as hell wouldn't. She would have to go out and dig some herbs up again.. or what she was able to find. She prayed to starclan no cat would get sick any time soon. She needed time to get anything she could! She didn't need an apprentice! She didn't!
Opening her dull, yellow and round eyes, a small tabby she-cat by the name of Timberfoot lay surrounded by sleeping bodies of tiresome warriors. Timberfoot slowly stood up, but she soon wished she hadn't have stood up because a gust of frigid air blew through the semi-warm den. Leafbare was the worst time of year of all cats and clans, there was hardly any prey to eat or herbs to give to sick cats. She felt bad for Frostbite, RiverClan's medicine cat, because this season would be stressful for the white she-cat, constantly worrying about sick cats or herbs she would not find. A growl made Timberfoot cautiously but quickly, step out into the white wonderland that was the RiverClan camp. All of the other clans think that the fish eating cats have all the prey, they're wrong because the river freezes over and that takes up their main food source. Obviously, the other clans didn't really have any brains to figure that out if they decide to ambush RiverClan any time soon. Timberfoot had seen Frostbite pad out of the Nursery with an angry look on her face and walk into the medicine cat den. What was wrong with Frostbite? Timberfoot quietly thought, usually the medicine cat was friendly and nice to most cats. It must be the stress over medicine cat issues, that's why Frostbite needed an apprentice to help her, but sadly, there weren't any apprentices around right now. The tabby cat bounded to the medicine cat den entrance and paused, does she really want to bother Frostbite by asking her what was wrong? Actually, it wasn't really none of her business what was wrong with the white queen, but Timberfoot is a problem solver. "Frostbite, may I come in?" Timberstripe quietly asked the medicine cat. It was her nature to be quiet and shy, especially around highly respected cats and elders. She sat outside of the den, instead of barging into the den without permission.
Frostbite closed her eyes and just wanted to take the silence in around her and then a voice made her shoot open her eyes and give a low growl as she lowered her head a bit. Turning around the medicine cat saw a she cat who went by the name of Timberstripe at the opening of her den. Part of this cat wanted to tell her to leave but being medic to see what was up. ''Well you just going to stand out there all day or you going to come in and tell me something pointless like everyone usually does?'' she hissed narrowing her eyes. Getting up she turned her body around to face the she cat and waited for her to come in. Feeling a cold breeze come into her den the medicine cat refused to give a shiver but of course it was a small breeze. Yet losing a ton of body fat Frostbite was able to feel the cold a lot more now. The prey went to the warriors and leader and everyone else. Elders first. Frostbite would turn away from the prey that was brought to her. Frostbite couldn't remember the last time she ate. Prey that was. Herbs could only hold her off fo so long right now.
