STRIPES does that make me crazy?? Oh, since when was he ever not up to something?? The slender tabby skulked along as he got closer to the Thunderpath, keeping his head low as his wild yellow eyes darted from place to place in search of anything of interest. White paws treaded carefully over the snow-covered ground, his pelt still helping him to camouflage against brambles and low-hanging branches, albeit not nearly as well as in the warmer moons. A mischievous grin stretched across his feline face as he got closer to his favourite spot in all the ShadowClan territory: their border with ThunderClan. What could be more fun than sitting there and letting the patrols assume whatever they like?? Stripetalon looked very out of place, and it would only be natural for a patrol to think he was contemplating crossing. Even though the Thunderpath was dangerous, there was a tunnel underneath it. Besides, prey was scarce enough in Leafbare to drive the cats to many things, whether desperation for hunting grounds or quickly made assumptions of that first desperation. Then again, maybe he'd get lucky and something would cross just barely over onto their side; wouldn't that be funny?? Oh, and it would make them so mad. Well, it served them right, since they had grown fat off the luck and prey StarClan saw fit to bless them with. They didn't deserve the littlest bit of any of it. The striped tom paused a couple foxlengths away, and lied down quietly, yellow eyes fixed out on the other side of the border. He had nothing better to do, really. He had gone hunting that morning, and there wasn't another patrol for a little while. In his mind, he was actually much more likely to catch something by mooching off of ThunderClan's wealth, so sitting there patiently wasn't any less useful than scrounging around ShadowClan territory for more prey. He just sat there, quietly, tail tip flicking as his eyes began to gaze off into nothingness. Suddenly, his ears flicked, and he made sure to lie very poised in case worse came to worst. It wasn't a Twoleg or one of their Monsters that caught his attention; no, what he heard was another cat approaching. He smiled to himself and made sure to keep quiet, not budging an inch as the sound got closer and closer. The only movement he made was the twitching of his tail or the occasional flex of his claws, curious as to whom he was about to see. | words 421 tags #open notes has anyone ever told you you're beautiful?? |
