Blizzardstar had been silent ever since leaving the Gathering, which was something rather unusual for the usual chatty tom. He had thoughts and feelings tumbling around in his head, worry and concerns on the brain about what all the changes meant for his Clan. Lynxstar had been a fake, not having the nine lives of StarClan. Tallstar had known, and had kept the secret to keep an alliance with RiverClan. Perhaps not all hope was lost for Tallstar, then, if he was willing to go the distance to ensure an alliance to keep his Clan safe. Littlestar was possibly sick or otherwise preoccupied, leaving Whitesmoke in charge of the Clan. Supposedly, of course. He didn't really know what the other leader was up to, and could only hope it didn't effect ThunderClan too much. Whatever Littlestar was up to though, Blizzardstar had a feeling it wasn't anything good. The biggest change, though, was the announcement of the new leader in front of everyone present. He'd thought it would be Silverfur, the cat to announce that Lynxstar had lied about his leadership. StarClan had apparnetly chosen her to reveal the truth, so it was an obvious assumption. But no, it had been Milkfur, a warrior Blizzardstar had seen around but not spoken to. She'd once kept a RiverClan patrol from shredding a barely-out-of-the-nursery apprentice that had wandered over the border, and he'd never forgotten that. He could only hope Milkstar would make RiverClan stable again. Not too stable, of course. If ThunderClan could gain from this in any way, he'd do it. ThunderClan's leader entered his camp where the ones who'd stayed behind waited. Some asked for news, but Blizzardstar passed right by them and leaped to the top of the High Rock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here beneath the High Rock for a Clan meeting!" he called loudly. If anyone had been asleep, no doubt the summons would wake them. If not from his voice, than because of their Clanmates. He didn't want anyone to miss what he had to say. No doubt they'd hear about it later from everyone else, but he wanted get everyone's opinions. |
